What is a consumer? 소비자란 무엇인가 ․ Why is pet food a concern of people who study world spending? 왜 세계적 소비에 대해 공부하는 사람들은 애완동물용 식량에 대해 우려하는가? Senseless Consumption 지각없는 소비 A big goal of advertising is to increase your consumption. 광고의 큰 목적은 당신의 소비를 증대시키는 것이다 Everyone needs to consume; we all need to eat, drink and buy basic necessities. 모두는 소비를 할 필요가 있다. 말하자면 우리는 모두 먹고, 마시고 기초 필수품을 사야할 필요가 있다 But a lot of advertising is aimed at convincing us that we should have much more than we need. 그러나 넘치는 광고는 우리가 필요로 하는 것보다 더 많이 소비하도록 부추긴다. This involves encouraging us to throw out possessions that are still good or which could be recycled, as well as to buy extra amounts of things we may never use. 이것은 여전히 쓸만한 것들이나 재사용할 수 있는 것들을 버리도록 부추길 뿐 아니라, 우리가 결코 사용하지 않을 것들을 사는 것들 사도록 하기도 한다. This excess consumption not only uses up the World's resources, it also increases pollution and waste. 광고가 불필요한 소비를 조장하고, 전세계 인구의 1/5인 선진국 사람들이 전체 소비 중 90%를 소비하고 있다는 내용입니다. 애완동물 사료로만 370억$을 쓰는데 260억$이면 교육, 식량, 의료, 물, 위생을 필요한 사람들에게 제공할 수 있다는군요. 저도 강아지 키우는데 강아지 사료값이 만만치 않습니다. 좀 비싼건 차라리 그 돈으로 쌀을 사서 밥을 해 먹여도 될 정도입니다. 물론 강아지 영양상 좋지는 않겠지만.
